Our restorative dentists recommend filling a tooth when decay, fractures or damage is within the "minimal to moderate" restorative limits that can be achieved with a dental filling. In our office, our filling philosophy aims to fully restore the crown of the tooth in a therapeutic occlusion (bite) using the quality assurance of computer guided occlusion technology. Unlike stronger crown restorations, we do not honor dental fillings for the life of the patient.

SMART FILLINGS

Smart fillings are made up of calcium and phosphate plus 22% fluoride mixed into a cement matrix. After the smart filling has cured, over time it releases fluoride, which helps protect and prevent the tooth from further decay.
